Search within reviews Search within reviews 11/24/2014 It's a new hotel but all the staff knew all the answers to any question any of us had. Very nice and pleasant staff. Miami Beach  The hotel is located off the main strip but an easy walk to it.  The pool was nice. We walked on the boardwalk and when we tried to get back in the key lock was broken. The security lady had to let us in. She looked at us as if we were breaking into the hotel. She knew the key lock wasn't working but still tried and asked random questions. Guess none of us fit who normally stays here or she was over doing her job- either way we got back in. Walking the boardwalk behind is a must. I didn't find any of the food or drink prices over priced, like other reviews expressed. You're paying for the area you're in. Everything is white. Not sure about how well this will maintain in the future years.  We were all upgraded to a city view. I only hope the view will improve once the construction clears- other wise don't waste your money on the upgrade to city view. If you stay here, you must walk over to Brother's Cafe. Pretty good, inexpensive food. They have an outside seating area which is nice to sit, eat, and watch the world go by.   It's out the hotel to the left and only a block away. Only one issue while there. The valet parked my car outside of the hotel overnight verses bringing it to the lot. I know most hotels do this so Miami Beach not a huge deal.  But the first night there it was raining and windy. I came out to find my black car extremely dirty with hard rain stains and sand all over it. The other nights they brought it to their parking yard. 5/14/2018 The edition and hotel is great. My personal favorite thing to do is go ice-skating in the basement. There is colorful lights they make it so much fun especially if you're taking mushrooms. It closes fairly early so make sure you go at a good timeI had a vodka grapefruit it was a little bit sour but still delicious I love to talk about the lobby lots of plants lots of fun looks crazy wild white and flirty I ran into a celebrity on the front steps one time so clearly this hotel is bad ass thank you I would recommend to a friend 8/7/2016 The price of this hotel does not add to the Miami Beach amenities and location. They would not even allow us park our scooter in their parking. No microwave and no ice machine. No balcony at all unless you stay across in the bungalows. I would definitely not recommend to friends. The decor is nice and all but the location is no where close to where al the fun is. I would suggest checking out cheaper hotels that give more amenities for your money. Oh ya $200/incidentals a night too. 2/24/2018 This hotel was awesome . Bungalow rooms are amazing . The basement is pretty cool to hang at night . Highly recommend this hotel . 1/5/2019 If you are looking for classy employees you're in the wrong place. Was catcalled disgusting things by the valet men on the way in AND on the way out. I asked them to please grow up and be professional and they got aggressive. Spent a LOT of money on bottle service at Basement and I expected a safer environment before I even walked fully in the door. If you want to feel harassed and disrespected as you walk in and walk out, this place is for you. 3/31/2016 I think I paid roughly $1,000 a night for this hotel. Albeit high season in March, for that price, the service should be great. I found it to be underwhelming and more in line with a massive resort or actually even worse. In fact, more than one of the employees on more than one occasion were just rude and needed a lesson in hospitality. It was wide spread terrible service. They won't survive in Miami (basically a hospitality capital of the world) unless they crack down on their employees and their treatment of guests.  Feel bad saying it because there was 1-2 employees that I liked at the hotel but I'm not sure how mgmt at the Edition could screw up training / hiring this bad. Management, if you're reading this, the people you have at the beach are the worst so start your overhaul there and work your way to the front. The hotel is more family friendly than for adults so do not recommend going there if you want to be away from kids. There seemed to be a kids pool and adult pool but none of the employees were making sure the kids stayed in the kids pool. At one point, I went to the kids pool because there were less kids there than in the adult pool. I think it was the kids pool? On a slightly positive note, the room was spacious and clean. Food was OK but waiter was rude. They have an ice skating rink, bowling alley and club. Spent all my time by the pool and beach because it's Miami so can't comment much on that. One (not all) of the concierges was nice. His name was Joey. Not the one that looks like a Miami / blonde highlighted tips Miami Beach version of Captain America. Sorry, struggling on the positives. Now I've worked myself up. They get 2 stars (as opposed to 1) because the place wasn't a dump. Will not stay here again with all the options in Miami. 6/27/2019 All I can say is WOW. After cancelling another Miami Beach hotel at the last minute (due to the mounting bad recent reviews) my husband and I decided to spend a little more and stay at a Marriott property using our membership. We're about to have a baby so it was REALLY important that this trip go well and we stay somewhere we could relax and have 0 problems since we would probably be on the property for most of the trip. And honestly, this may have been a better experience than our honeymoon!!! The staff is so accommodating, and I mean everyone from the front desk to the valet asking us constantly what they can do to make our experience better. We flew here on a red eye so we got here very early and we're shown to a room by 11:30am that had a gorgeous view. Although we of course went to other restaurants while we were here, they have just about anything on property you would need food/treat wise and while it's of course a little pricier the portions are huge and everything we ate was incredibly delicious. The pool has the best vibe ever and even though there are families with kids here, it was still very relaxing. If you are debating between a cheaper hotel and staying somewhere like the EDITION, you won't be disappointed if you spend the money to stay here! 7/25/2015 The Edition hates women. "Do you have double cross vodka?"-my friend"No we have Titos vodka....you'd like it. It's popular among the ladies."-tiny man bun bartender(At this point, my friends and I are dumbfounded at this 1940s comment) We ended up ordering dainty lady drinks and the proceeding to paint our nails. Will not return. 12/22/2018 Really liked the bar at the Matador room but they serve the smallest cocktails I have seen in Miami Beach. The 5 people I took there had 4 each and could still function which will give you some idea of the size! 2/6/2017 Was staying there in September, but just now got a moment to comment.The service is outstanding, the food, the amenities..... Was pleasantly surprised with a night club, bowling ally on premises, incl. ice skating room (yeas, a small area). The club is small and gets too crowded fast and nobody is dancing, just drinking. No place to sit unless you ordering ridiculously expensive bottle of Vodka or such.The crowd is very young....!Lovely walk to the beach w/ own servers, but umbrellas are FOR CHARGE! Good pools and area around them. Love the restaurants.
